Now I played and completed it on Hard on the PC and I didn't find it that hard. It was varied, had a lot of fan service and was straight up enjoyable. It took me 22 hours to complete it but boy was it worth it. The game was so tense that I couldn't play for more than 60 minutes per session before having to take a break. Every time I booted it up I had a big knot in my stomach made out of anxiety, stress and fear. For my part it was one of the most engaging experiences I have had. The final is great but it highlights the lack of progression and build up, there should be more longer races for the fast cars to progress up to the long track.ДЄlien Isolation is the most under-reviewed game this year I feel. It makes me miss pgr all the more as it handled progression so much better, small tight tracks for the slower cars that gradually grew for the more powerful cars whereas with Horizons they're mostly the same so you get tracks that are too long for slow cars so they're just dull and the same tracks for the high power cars which are too small and don't allow the cars to stretch their legs.

You might point out it's arcadey and meant to be fun but trying to get a Dodge Viper through fields and loose surfaces is anything but fun. It boasts a huge amount of championships but it's mostly the same tracks over and very again none of which are that well suited to the cars leading to the stupid situation where you have an extreme off road championship that has complete on road races and muscle car championships that are completely off road.

I wasn't keen on Horizon 2 though, it has such a great base game and I love being able to just drive the cars with the driver aids off through the open world but the design feels lazy and rarely takes advantage of the open world it has. Like, lose to a low-level orc and he'll get promoted and be more powerful next time you meet him (and will surely remind you of your last encounter). It doesn't mean turning enemies into allies but into 'more enemies'. The 'Nemesis System,' which turns ordinary, fodder enemies into enduring foes, creates a criss-crossing web of gameplay-fueled stories.Дon't quite a few games give you the ability to turn enemies into allies?
